Have some
extra yarn hanging around you won't use but don't want to toss? Consider
the Crazy Girl Coralville Charity knitting box. We've relocated it to
inside our store, next to the Preemie Project drop off
box. And feel free to take whatever you could use for your charity knitting
needs.
New
Spring Classes starting soon! Just because it's warming up doesn't mean
the knitting stops!
Click on the Muscatine or
Coralville class calendar to find classes from how to read a pattern to
how to knit a sweater!
Thanks to all

The
Knitting Doctor is In!
Stuck on a pattern? Need help with a new technique? Making
alterations have you backed into a corner? Convinced your pattern
must be wrong? Our resident Knitting Doctors (Lin in Coralville and
Marie in Muscatine) have set up office hours to help you diagnose and
treat those tricky issues that are stalling your knitting. Days and
hours vary, so check the Muscatine or
Coralville calendars.
FINALLY, FINISHING HELP!
I’ve been asked so many times by so many people if we did finishing. I’ve
sadly had to say no…there’s just not enough time in the day. But I found
someone who loves to do it and does it well…check out her website: www.knitsfinished.com

Things We're Crazy About
Wondering
what's going on with the socks?
for a quick update?
Heard
about Sock Wars but not sure what they are and how to get involved? Check
out this link

to be a part of all the internet fun!
Follow our friend
from Coralville's Knit and Wine, Judith, as she posts about her experience
helping a mininstry with homeless in Boston this month. Click here

for a most
interesting adventure.
We love knitalongs! Keep
your eyes on the website to see what we're planning for you to knit along
with us this summer!
Ever wonder what it
is like to teach 70+ girl scouts how to knit?
Click here to see pictures from The Preemie Project Craft-a-thon!
As you all
know, we love Ravelry (see below).
Now Crazy Girl has a group! We're listed as Crazy Girl Yarn Shops. Please
join us! It's just another way for us to keep up with the Crazy Girls (and
Guys!)
We're
crazy about Meetup! Eastern Iowa Knitters, check out
Meetup.com.
There's a great group called The Eastern Iowa Knitting Meetup Group which
lists several knitting groups in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area. Just go
to
www.meetup.com, enter
knitting as your interest as well as your zip code, and have fun!
Crazy
Girl is proud to announce that we are now an official drop-off spot for
The Preemie
Project! Bring your finished items to either store and we'll be sure to
get them to the kind people who run the charity. We also have yarns and
patterns; and click here for link to find more patterns and yarn
requirements. Crazy Girl Coralville also has a donation box of yarns inside
the 5th Street Entrance. Feel free to pick up some yarn for any charity
need, and you are welcome to donate as well!
Ravelry is the newest knitting phenomenon to hit the internet! Although
it's still in its "testing" phase (which means we can't use it yet!) it
looks to be something we could really lose ourselves in! The site looks
like a terrific way to keep track of your stash, projects, and patterns.
You can also share with others--if you want to--and see what knitters across
the world are doing! We can't wait for it to be live! Go to their sneak
peak page (Click
Here) and imagine the possibilities!
